| The charismatic Linda Sundblad returns with her second solo album "Manifest" in January, which has one foot in the eighties and one in the future. This time she has worked with a number of talented people she is comfortable with, like Max Martin, Alexander Kronlund, Fibes, oh Fibes!, Macho Psycho, and Johan Bobäck. The first single is "To all my Girls" written with Max Martin, and Alexander Kronlund. The songs on this album vary between playful and cocky, to a more emotional reflection on her inner side. This also being illustrated on the albums cover. Linda Sundblad was still in her mid-teens when first reached success as the cool front figure with an attitude in the band "Lambretta". The band had big hits like, "Blow Your Fuses", "Bimbo", and "Creep". After ten eventful years Linda left "Lambretta" to pursue her solo carrier. Her first solo single "Oh Father" became the second most played song in Sweden from July 2006 to a year later. Its success, combined with the quality of the rest of the album, resulted in nominations for Female artist of the year, both at "Rockbjörnen", "P3 Guld", and "Grammis". "Oh Father" was also nominated in the category "Song of the Year" by "Rockbjörnen". The debut album "Oh my God" was received very well. Linda is also a dedicated song writer and has worked with some of Sweden's biggest names, has in recent years written songs for Darin, Amanda Jenssen, Johan Palm and Elin Lanto amongst others. She collaborated with "Kleerup" on the song "History", which was released as a single of his album. She has also collaborated with the house musician Rasmus Faber. Recently she has written the song "Run to You" together with "Fibes, oh Fibes!", which is currently their new song featuring eighties icon Kim Wilde. Last year Linda has also hosted the radio show "P3 Star". |
